I Don’t Care

A very short post. I don’t care what the Tobacco Control Industry says or what the ‘Government’ says. ‘Tobacco Control” is a leach attached to the ‘body politic’. It must be cut out.

I wonder just how many people do care? None of my never smoking friends could care less except about their social lives being ruined as the smokers don’t want to go to pubs. I have only once met a real anti and she scurried off when challenged.

Cherie, the very few anti-smokers I met in real life scurried off when humouring them. That was well before I was in a position to “draw weapon”.

On the net they are big mouthed – in real life they are too scared to pick a fight.

Cherie – all very well, but I very much doubt that any of your non smoking friends would let you smoke inside their homes. Their right of course, but go back 15 or so years and it’d have been a different story.

All my never smoking friends don’t mind a bit, but then they are all a bit too old to be brainwashed and are well aware that we all grew up with smoke whether we smoked or not and are all still here so they know it is a lot of nonsense. Granted they are all old friends I just don’t smoke in the houses of newer friends unless they smoke, the e cig is handy then. I have not met any in our age group that believe the dire warnings.

        They seem sound.

I’m afraid my experience is somewhat different – I very rarely find myself socialising in the non smoking homes of those who are no longer close friends. Nor do I regularly frequent pubs any more. I guess I could be accused of cutting my nose off etc, but the plain truth is that I’ve become alienated and have very little discuss with those who are more than happy to promote smoking bans of all kinds. I went through a non smoking period between 2006 and 2010 – not smoking made little difference to my opinion, if anything strengthening it. Being permitted to smoke and then, within a relatively short period, not says more about others tbh.

      Mine do.

They are great, you know the kind if you told them you committed murder would just say you must have had a good reason! I rarely visit pubs too, sometimes in the summer if we can sit outside. Even newer friends are not hostile, they don’t like it in their home which is fair enough but if they come to me they don’t mind me smoking. Then I would never be friends with the hostile type anyway. I still find it hard to believe they got away with demonising a legal product when they depend on the taxes, not that they have had any from me since 2007!
