Spam: Health Zealotry Incompetence

You have to laugh. We all get some spam, but you would think that spammers would at least make an effort to present their posts with a reasonable level of spelling and grammatical accuracy. Here are some examples:

Why viewers still make use of to read news papers ….?

Hi there, You have done an excellent job. I will certainly digg it and personally recommend to my friends. I am confident they will be benefited from this website.

You have to be amused.

In the same sort of way, you have to be amused at the current level of competence of Health Zealotry in its many forms. I cited a bit of a tiff that I had with Chapman a couple of days ago. He reckoned that using ecigs and cutting down don’t make any difference, but failed to take into account the ‘facts’ as illustrated in the Doll’s Doctors Study, which indicate that light smoking is far less dangerous than heavy smoking. It makes no sense to say that moving from heavy smoking to light smoking makes no difference, especially if you do so in early middle age. He said that Doll’s study only showed that quitting worked! Well, the fact is that Doll could only assess quitting since any attempt to assess cutting down would have been far too difficult. There are parts of that study in which Doll talked about people cutting down, but, from a statistical point of view, those people who moved from heavy smoking to moderate smoking were matched by people who moved from moderate to light, and those people were matched by people who moved from light to quit, so the overall figures were not really affected, other than the heavy smokers. But the group who were described as heavy smokers smoked anything from 25 cigs per day upwards, and so ‘the lines’ about what was heavy smoking and moderate smoking were always going to be cumbersome and inaccurate. Also, over the period of time, the character of cigs changed dramatically. Anyone who has smoked full strength Capstan and Senior Service cigs will remember that the fag end was really, really brown due to the tar, and anyone who has smoked filter tipped cigs will recall that, many years ago, the filter tip used to be really stained. Today’s filter tips are hardly browned at all.

I like the way in which the charlatan zealots are digging themselves into a deeper and deeper hole. The tobacco zealots must be grinding their teeth at the way in which the sugar, fat, salt, alcohol, etc zealots are bringing all their efforts into disrepute. Recent news, that I’m sure that readers are aware of, is ripping former dietary advice to shreds.

The question that arises in my mind is: “When will politicians realise that the whole health zealotry thing is a con? When will they realise that they are spending our tax monies in vast amounts, via supporting ASH ET AL, the EU healthist and the UN elite, on futile chasing of miasmas?”

No, they don’t. Just in case you have set your filters to key words. Misspelling them gets you to read the complete and utter nonsense.
    Do not respond to them:

Apply the thinking – you don’t spell right – I delete.
They are trying to get under your skin. I am not surprised; with what you write you do not incite hatred between smokers and vapers.
In order to go for the vapers they need to get smokers angry …

      Good point, Beo!
Thankfully, WordPress has a pretty good spam filter. In fact, the quotes were from the spam filter. They had not been posted. Normally, I don’t read them at all, but the ones I have quoted were amusing.
